Mulch
Mulch can be applied to landscape areas at any time of the year. Some benefits of mulching include discouraging weed growth, its water efficiency, a great way to dress up garden areas, and bringing nutrients back into the soil after the mulch decomposes. It is recommended to lay your mulch 2”- 4” inches from the ground for best coverage.
Gravel, River Rock & Stone
It doesn’t matter whether you’re in the process of completing a commercial application or you would like to add some gravel to your local residence; we have you covered every step of the way! In fact, we provide our materials at some of the most competitive rates throughout the local community, making it easier than ever to access the perfect materials to suit your surroundings.
Soil, Sand, and Amendments
One of the essential elements of successful landscaping is the soil and sand used to create a healthy growing environment for plants and flowers. The right combination of soil and sand can help promote healthy root growth, improve drainage, and maintain proper moisture levels. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting, understanding the importance of soil and sand can help you create a beautiful and thriving outdoor space.
Pine Needles, Straw & Hay
Pine needles and straw are two popular choices that offer a range of benefits when it comes to creating healthy growing environments for plants and flowers. Pine needles provide excellent insulation and can help regulate soil temperature, while straw is known for its ability to retain moisture and suppress weed growth. Both materials can also add aesthetic appeal to outdoor spaces, with their natural textures and colors.
Material Calculation
We sell our Mulch and Material by the cubic yard. One cubic yard of material would cover 324 square feet at an inch depth.
How much material you need depends on your square footage of the area.
To find the square footage of a rectangle or square we use Length x Width (measured in feet) = Square Footage.
If its a circle say around trees then we would take the radius (middle to the edge of the bed) x its self and then multiply 3.14
Keep in mind we sell our Mulch and Material by the cubic yard. One cubic yard of material would cover 324 square feet at an inch depth.
In short [Square Footage x Desired depth (inches)] / 324 = cubic yards needed (always round up).
Example: I’m wanting to fill a garden bed that measures 20 feet by 10 feet with 4 inches of pine bark nuggets. 20′ x 10′ is 200 sq ft x 4″ = 800/324=2.47. I would need 3 scoops. Feel free to use our calculator to help.
